Fee schedule 2025-26 (Valid from 1 July 2025)

Private / medicare funded services

  • Initial Assessment Session - $220 up to 60 minutes initial appointment, includes detailed summary notes

  • Reports - $200/hour. Total fee will vary depending on the length and complexity of the report.

  • Follow-up appointments

    • 30 minutes - $100

      45 minutes - $150

    • 60 minutes - $200

NDIS funded services

  •  $193.99 per 1 hour consultation session (includes 45 minute therapy session and 15 minutes administration time).

  • Additional administration time is added for the initial appointment, this is typically an additional 30-minutes (to review case history notes, review reports, and planning). 

  • $16.16 / 5 minutes for non-face-to-face services including but not limited to reports, team meetings, collaborating with relevant stake-holders, visuals and resources, home programs, prepping feeding therapy sessions. 

  • NDIS travel fee for mobile visits;

    • Labour costs (time) $8.08 per 5 mins of travel

    • for MMM3 areas up to 30 minutes of travel can be charged to and from appointments. 

    • for MMM4 and MMM5 areas, up to 60 minutes of travel can be charged to and from appointments.

    • Non-labour costs:  $0.99 / kilometre; and for other forms of transport or associated costs, such as road tolls, parking, public transport fares, up to the full amount.

    NOTE: These rates are in accordance with the NDIS Price Limits. 

Cancellation policy
I am aware that sometimes things happen and children can get sick unexpectedly. I will do my best to fill the time if you cancel at short notice, however if I cannot fill the time you will be charged a cancellation fee of 90%. Failure to attend a session without notification will result in 100% of the fee being charged.

What is short notice? Cancellations less than 2 business days prior to the appointment time.

Funding to access Speech Pathology services

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) - I am able to provide services to Self-Managed and Plan Managed NDIS participants. Service agreements are made between Puggles Speech Therapy and the participant.

Medicare - Ask your GP if you are eligible for an Allied Health Medicare Rebate. There are 2 types:

1.  Speech Pathology services for Chronic Disease Management 

2. Speech Pathology services for People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent 

If eligible you can access 5 sessions per calendar year where you pay the full private paying fee and then submit your paid invoices to Medicare for a rebate. The rebate is currently $60.35. Your must have visited the GP for this before a rebate can be claimed from Medicare.

Private Health Insurance - Speech Pathology Services are rebatable under certain ancillary tables of private health funds. If you do have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate, depending on your type of cover.
